The AMS-IX is the largest Internet Exchange in the world, when measured by number of members, or by traffic. As of February 9, 2008 AMS-IX connected 293 members on 509 ports and the all time peak of incoming traffic was 411.065 Gbit/s and of outgoing traffic 413.142 Gbit/s.
